It started with nothing but belief.
In June 2025, We began Kalavastra by Anchal with zero experience, zero playbook — just a phone, a passion for ethnic wear, and the kind of stubborn optimism that refuses to calculate odds.
The early days were quiet. Slow. Each order felt like a small miracle. Every reel made with care, every kurti styled with love.
Then February 2026 happened.
A few reels found their moment — and the internet found us. 200 followers became 1,500+ in just two months. Millions of views. A community that felt like home. Brands taking notice, taking notes, and more than a few taking inspiration a little too literally. We took that as a compliment.
We were just getting started.
Then came something we never saw coming.
On 5th May 2026, @_kalavastra, our Instagram account — built over months of honest work — was geo-restricted in India overnight. No warning. No violation. Meta confirmed it themselves in writing: zero violations found.
What happened was a government-issued bulk restriction — a single notice that swept up multiple accounts sharing a keyword, without looking at what any of them actually were. A small clothing brand built by one woman, her creativity, and a lot of late nights — caught in a net that was never meant for us.
We filed complaints. We knocked on every door we could find. We fought for what was ours.
Some battles teach you more than the victory would have.
So here we are. Again. Restarting.
Not because we gave up — but because we refused to let someone else's mistake become our full stop.
Same hands. Same heart. New name.
If you followed Kalavastra by Anchal — you're home. This is Panah by Anchal — and this time, we're building it to last.
